Engineered using high-quality reinforced materials, this OE Match brake hose is built to withstand the high hydraulic pressures and demanding operating conditions experienced during everyday driving and spirited road use. It delivers dependable braking performance while maintaining the precise pedal feel expected from a Porsche braking system.
What Does the Brake Hose Do?
The brake hose is a vital component of the hydraulic braking system. It connects the fixed metal brake pipes to the moving brake calipers, allowing suspension and steering movement while maintaining constant hydraulic pressure.
Its primary functions include:
- Transferring brake fluid under high pressure.
- Allowing suspension and steering movement.
- Maintaining consistent brake pedal feel.
- Supporting Porsche ABS and PSM systems.
- Delivering reliable hydraulic braking performance.
- Providing safe, leak-free operation under all driving conditions.
Without a correctly functioning brake hose, hydraulic pressure cannot be delivered safely to the brake caliper, reducing braking efficiency and vehicle safety.
Why Do Brake Hoses Fail?
Brake hoses are exposed to constant movement, heat and
environmental conditions. Over time they naturally deteriorate. Common causes
include:
- Age-related rubber degradation.
- Internal hose deterioration.
- Heat from the braking system.
- Exposure to moisture, road salt and contaminants.
- Surface cracking.
- Abrasion against suspension components.
- Internal swelling restricting brake fluid flow.
- Corrosion around hose fittings.
As brake hoses age, they can become less flexible, reducing braking performance and increasing the risk of hydraulic failure.
When Should the Brake Hose Be Replaced?
Replacement is recommended whenever:
- Visible cracks appear in the hose.
- The hose shows signs of swelling or bulging.
- Brake fluid leaks develop.
- The hose becomes damaged through abrasion.
- The braking system is undergoing major refurbishment.
- Brake calipers are being replaced.
- During preventative maintenance on older vehicles.
- Whenever deterioration is identified during servicing.
Many Porsche specialists recommend replacing ageing brake hoses in axle pairs to maintain balanced braking performance and consistent hydraulic response.

Constructed from high-strength, multi-layer reinforced rubber with corrosion-resistant OE-style metal end fittings, the hose is engineered to withstand high hydraulic pressures, repeated steering and suspension movement, elevated braking temperatures and prolonged exposure to moisture, road salt and road debris. Precision-manufactured for direct OE-style fitment, it provides a secure, leak-free connection while maintaining the flexibility required for unrestricted front suspension and steering movement.
What This Product Does:
- Transfers hydraulic brake fluid to the front brake caliper.
- Maintains consistent hydraulic braking pressure.
- Allows unrestricted steering and suspension movement without stressing the brake line.
- Provides a secure, leak-free hydraulic connection.
- Supports smooth, responsive and reliable braking performance.
- Withstands high operating pressures and temperatures.
- Helps maintain balanced front braking performance.
- Forms an essential part of the vehicle's hydraulic braking system.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Brake fluid leaks around the hose or fittings.
- Soft or spongy brake pedal.
- Cracked, split or perished rubber hose.
- Bulging hose when brake pressure is applied.
- Corroded or damaged metal fittings.
- Reduced front braking performance.
- Brake warning light caused by low brake fluid.
- Front brake caliper sticking due to internal hose collapse.
- Uneven front brake pad wear.
- MOT or vehicle inspection failure due to deteriorated brake hose condition.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Brake hoses are subjected to constant hydraulic pressure, repeated steering and suspension movement, high braking temperatures and continuous exposure to harsh environmental conditions. Over time, the rubber hose can deteriorate internally and externally, while corrosion may affect the metal fittings, increasing the risk of leaks, pressure loss or restricted brake fluid flow.
- A failing brake hose can reduce braking performance, create an inconsistent brake pedal feel and, in severe cases, lead to partial or complete hydraulic brake failure. An internally collapsed hose may also prevent brake fluid from returning correctly, causing the front brake caliper to bind and accelerating brake pad and brake disc wear.
- Replacing a worn or damaged front brake caliper hose restores safe, reliable hydraulic pressure and consistent braking performance. The OE Match replacement provides factory-style fitment, premium-quality reinforced construction and long-lasting durability, helping maintain the braking performance, safety and reliability expected from your Porsche.

DOT 4
Having an extremely high boiling point and lower viscosity than required, it meets and greatly exceeds regulatory standards. Also suitable for vehicles with ABS.
Vapour Lock formation
This sort of habit leaves room for the Vapour Lock, the formation of vapour bubbles due to boiling of the brake fluid that replace the normal fluid and are compressed, thereby sending the brake pedal to its fill stoke (spongy pedal). The origin is incident in the porosity of the tubes that make up the braking circuit, which in time draw moisture into the fluid, drastically reducing the boiling point. The result is a reduced braking efficiency.
Brembo Premium Brake Fluid
Brembo Premium brake fluids have a higher boiling point that exceeds the standard, thus offering superior resistance to the Vapour Lock and ensuring braking efficiency even at low temperatures. With high anti-corrosion properties and resistance to oxidation, Brembo brake fluid also allows for long-term unaltered chemical/physical characteristics of the fluid in operating circuit; therefore, preserving its integrity.

Brake fluid is one of the most important fluids in a car as without it, stopping the vehicle safely would be impossible. The Brake fluid transmits the force exerted by the driver on the brake pedal onto the wheel brake.
To ensure perfect operation of the brakes, the brake fluid must be changed regularly during inspection or maintenance and tested with the correct brake fluid tester.
Brake fluid should be changed every two years.
The higher the DOT class, the higher the boiling temperature and wet boiling point. Higher DOT classes tend to allow longer maintenance intervals. The DOT standards are based on the American FMVSS-116 standard of the Department of Transportation (DOT).
Boiling Point and Viscosity
Dry Boiling Point - describes the property of the sealed new brake fluid. In this state, the brake fluid is almost anhydrous (substance containing no water). The dry boiling point is usually between 240 and 280°C.
Wet Boiling Point - determines the property of the brake fluid at the end of its life cycle, at a water content of 3.5% the fluid should be replaced. This defined wet boiling point must not be undercut.
Viscosity - describes the flow rate of the brake fluid. The lower the viscosity, the faster the brake fluid flows through the brake system, and the faster the brake signals are transmitted.
Important Notes
• Brake fluid is poisonous and a hazardous waste.
• Be careful when changing. The fluid weakens paints and plastics.
• It must not come into contact with eyes or skin. Always rinse spilled liquid with water.
• Do not pour the liquid into drinking water or mix with used oil.
• The colour of the brake fluid reveals nothing about its quality.
• Brake fluid should be stored in its original packaging and in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
