• Locates and seals the oil filter securely to the engine block
• Directs oil flow into and out of the filter to maintain clean engine lubrication
• Helps maintain correct oil pressure and circulation, protecting bearings and internal components
• When designed with integrated thermostat/coolant interfaces, assists in thermal management of oil temperature.
