What This Product Does:
- The door glass provides the transparent barrier and visibility for the side window of the door, supporting driver/passenger view, weather sealing, noise insulation and structural integrity of the door assembly.
- Being OEM glass ensures correct optical quality, correct fitment (hole placement for trims/seals), correct thickness, correct heat and UV tolerance, and correct sealing interface.
- Using the proper door glass helps maintain side door assembly alignment, prevents wind noise, ensures the correct fit of window seals, and preserves vehicle safety and appearance.
When Might You Need Replacement:
- Visible damage or cracks in the door glass (chips, cracks, edge damage) which may compromise safety or lead to further failure.
- Fogging, delamination or optical distortion in the glass, which might impact visibility or result from internal moisture ingress.
- Seal failure: water ingress either inside the door or to the cabin due to improper fit or damage around the glass mount.
