What This Product Does:
- The rear drop links connect the rear anti-roll bar (sway bar) to the rear suspension arms or linkage.
- When the car corners or one side of the rear suspension moves differently than the other, the drop links transfer force (torque) between the anti-roll bar and suspension to resist body roll.
- They help keep the rear of the car stable and flat in turns, improving grip, balance, and predictability.
- The drop link must allow some articulation to accommodate suspension travel without binding, while maintaining a solid mechanical connection.
Symptoms / Signs Of Worn Or Failed Rear Drop Links:
- Clunking or knocking noise from the rear when driving over bumps or uneven surfaces
- Excessive body roll in rear (the rear may lean more in corners than expected)
- Loose or vague rear handling — feeling of instability or wandering at the rear
- Uneven rear tire wear if the sway bar is not effectively held in place
