What This Product Does:
- The drop link connects the rear anti-roll bar (stabiliser bar) to the suspension arm or axle link, forming a link through which the stabiliser bar can apply force between the two sides of the rear suspension when the car is cornering.
- By transferring roll-bar forces, it helps reduce body roll, maintain tyre contact patch, improve rear stability and maintain chassis balance.
- A firm, well-designed drop link ensures that the anti-roll bar is fully engaged under load without unwanted compliance, thereby improving handling response, cornering grip, and driver feedback.
- Upgrading to an 85-Shore rated version means both less compliance (so fewer unwanted movements) and improved durability — especially important when using upgraded tyres, stiffer springs or track driving.
Symptoms & Signs Of Wear / When To Replace:
- Knocking or clunking noises from the rear suspension when going over bumps or during aggressive cornering — indicating the link or its joint/bush has excessive play.
- Rear body roll or instability: If the rear end of the car feels loose, shifts or leans more than expected under cornering, the drop link may be letting the rear stabiliser under-perform.
- Uneven tyre wear on the rear pair, particularly on the outside shoulder — because the stabiliser link may not be transmitting forces properly, geometry may be shifting.
- Visual wear: the joint/bushing may show cracking, movement, damaged boots, or the link may have corrosion or broken mount bushes.
- Upgraded suspension: If you have lowered the car, installed larger tyres or firmer springs, the stock drop links may be too soft or worn out — the sports-rated link helps restore performance.

The newly reproduced tie rods complete with mounting hardware. The set consists of two pendulum supports with rubber bearings. The Pendestützen have already installed new rubber bushes in true to the original hardness. These tie rods are usually knocked out on all Porsche models 924/944 and 968 after years and should be replaced. If you want to keep your vehicle true to the original, you are well served with these coupling rods in the original design.
