Designed to operate automatically when required, the fan assists in controlling engine coolant temperatures and improving air conditioning performance, particularly during slow-moving traffic, idling and warm weather conditions. It is an essential component for maintaining cooling system efficiency and passenger comfort.
What This Product Does:
- Draws air through the radiator to aid engine cooling.
- Improves airflow through the air conditioning condenser.
- Helps maintain correct engine operating temperatures.
- Supports efficient air conditioning performance.
- Assists cooling during low-speed driving and stationary operation.
- Reduces the risk of engine overheating in demanding conditions.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Engine temperature running higher than normal.
- Overheating during traffic or extended idling.
- Reduced air conditioning cooling performance.
- Air conditioning becoming less effective when stationary.
- Fan failing to operate when required.
- Excessive fan noise, rattling or vibration.
- Intermittent fan operation.
- Blown fan motor fuse due to excessive electrical load.
- Visible damage to fan blades or motor housing.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The radiator and air conditioning fan plays a critical role in maintaining airflow when natural airflow is limited. Over time, the electric motor, bearings, wiring and fan blades can deteriorate due to age, heat, moisture and continuous use.
- A faulty cooling fan can significantly reduce the efficiency of both the cooling and air conditioning systems, increasing the risk of engine overheating and poor cabin cooling performance. Continued operation with an inoperative fan may place additional strain on cooling system components and potentially lead to costly engine repairs.
- Replacing a worn or faulty radiator air conditioning fan restores proper airflow, improves cooling system efficiency and helps maintain reliable air conditioning performance. An OE Match replacement provides factory-style fitment, dependable operation and long-term durability for your Porsche.
