Information
Radiator / Engine cooling fan, 400 W, without carrier.
This radiator cooling fan is a direct-fit replacement for the factory 400 W electric fan used on Porsche 992 (992.1 series) models. Designed for precision cooling performance, this fan operates within the original geometry, connector layout, and mounting interface. It helps regulate engine temperature by drawing airflow through the radiator during low-speed or high-load conditions.
Fits:
Porsche 992.1 Carrera 2019>>
PLEASE NOTE: Radiator fan bracket has to be transferred over to new fan or sourced separately. Not included with this fan.
Porsche part number 992121435.
Diagram ref no 2
• Power: Rating 400 W
• Function: Draws air through the radiator to maintain optimal coolant and engine temperature
• Position: Front radiator section, left or right depending on configuration
• Symptoms of wear: Overheating at low speed, fan noise, intermittent operation
• Benefits: OEM-quality airflow and cooling, quiet and efficient motor, plug-and-play installation
• Installation: Direct-fit; reuse original fan carrier or shroud as required
Over time, radiator fans are exposed to heat, vibration, and moisture, which can cause gradual wear of the motor bearings, electrical windings, or blade balance. A weakened or failing cooling fan can no longer move enough air through the radiators, leading to higher operating temperatures — especially noticeable in traffic or hot weather.
Replace your cooling fan when you notice:
• Rising coolant temperature at idle or low speeds
• Intermittent or noisy fan operation (grinding or humming sounds)
• Fan not engaging even when the engine is hot
• Fault codes or warning messages related to cooling system performance.
It’s also good practice to install a new fan during radiator or condenser replacement, or whenever there’s evidence of electrical faults, motor burnout, or impact damage to the blades or shroud.
Replacing with an replacement restores consistent cooling performance, protects the engine from overheating, and ensures the fan system operates quietly and efficiently — just as Porsche intended.
