The oil cooler plays a critical role in regulating engine oil temperature by dissipating excess heat generated during normal driving and high-load conditions. Proper oil cooling helps maintain oil viscosity, protects internal engine components, and ensures long-term engine reliability. Over time, oil coolers can become restricted internally, while seals and hoses harden and begin to leak, compromising cooling efficiency and lubrication.
This kit replaces the oil cooler assembly along with the associated suction hose, O-rings, seals, and mounting components, eliminating common leak points and restoring factory-correct oil flow. All components are manufactured to OEM specifications, ensuring precise fitment, proper sealing, and dependable performance.
Ideal for engine rebuilds, restorations, or preventative maintenance, this oil cooler kit provides a complete, professional solution for maintaining correct oil temperature and protecting valuable classic Porsche engines.
What This Product Does:
- Regulates engine oil temperature: Oil absorbs heat from engine internals. Too hot, and its lubricating properties break down. The cooler releases excess heat into the surrounding air.
- Improves engine reliability: Cooler oil maintains viscosity and lubrication under high load, reducing wear.
- Protects critical components: Helps maintain optimal oil temperature, protecting bearings, cams, pistons, and other moving parts that depend on consistent lubrication.
- Includes all mounting & sealing hardware: Ensures a complete, correct OEM install — no missing seals or leaks.
Symptoms Of A Failing Oil Cooler System:
- High oil temperature under normal driving conditions
- Oil leaks around the cooler, seal rings, or hose connections
- Visible oil seepage near cooler fittings
- Reduced engine performance or overheating
- Frequent oil top-ups due to unseen leaks
- Sludge formation inside or around the cooler/hose (indicative of internal deposits)
Why Replacement Matters:
- Properly controlled oil temperature extends engine component life — especially under sustained load or high ambient temperatures.
- Cool oil holds its protective viscosity and prevents metal-to-metal contact that accelerates wear.
- Old seals and O-rings lose elasticity over time, leading to slow leaks.
- A full kit replaces all necessary sealing points.
- This kit uses genuine Porsche parts, ensuring correct fitment and compatibility with the factory oil cooling system on your 911.
- Correct oil temperature helps sustain peak engine performance, especially in spirited driving or classic car restoration scenarios.
