Information
Rear engine lid, STEEL
This OE Match rear engine lid (deck lid / engine cover) is a direct replacement for Porsche part number 91151201065GRV, manufactured to original specifications for precise fitment and restoration-quality finish. It is designed for Porsche 911 models from 1974 to 1989 (G-Series).
Fits:
Porsche 911 1974 - 1989
Constructed from high-quality steel, this version features the flat (non-spoiler) design, as fitted to many standard Carrera and non-Turbo models.
The panel replicates factory contours, hinge mounting points and latch locations, ensuring seamless integration with original components.
Built for durability and long-term use, the steel construction offers strength and resistance to deformation, making it ideal for both restoration and everyday use classic Porsche vehicles.
The rear engine lid protects the engine compartment from external elements while allowing airflow through the grille to support cooling of the air-cooled engine. It also forms a key visual and structural part of the iconic Porsche 911 rear design.
Function
• Covers and protects the engine compartment
• Allows airflow for engine cooling
• Maintains rear body structure and alignment
• Provides mounting for grille and latch components
• Preserves factory appearance
Original engine lids are prone to rust, corrosion, and damage due to age and exposure. Poorly fitting or incorrect panels can affect cooling airflow, alignment, and overall vehicle appearance. Replacing with a correct OE Match steel lid ensures proper fitment, restores structural integrity, and maintains the authentic look of the vehicle.
When to replace
• Rust, corrosion, or bubbling paint
• Accident or structural damage
• Poor panel alignment or fitment
• Incorrect or modified lid fitted
• During full restoration or repaint
