What This Product Does
The seat shell kit concept separates the seat’s supporting structure, suspension and shaped padding from its final upholstery. The essential underlying components are supplied as a kit, allowing a professional automotive trimmer to finish the seat in leather, vinyl, fabric or another suitable material. Colour, stitching, piping and other upholstery details can therefore be selected to complement the vehicle’s existing cabin or restoration specification.
The R Seat design is based on the supportive driver and co-driver seats associated with early rally and competition cars. Its shaped, fixed-back form provides defined support around the backrest, sides and cushion while retaining a period-style appearance appropriate for a classic Porsche interior. Duralastic suspension belts sit beneath the cushion to provide flexible support rather than relying on the foam alone.
