Supplied as a un-upholstered seat frame kit, it gives you the freedom to have the upholstery completed locally in your choice of leather, vinyl, fabric or period-correct material.

Classic Recaro Ideal-Inspired Design
The Recaro Ideal became one of the defining sports seats of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
The Retro Trim Sport S takes inspiration from this iconic design, carefully recreating the characteristic proportions and foam shape associated with the original seat.
Moulds have been produced specifically for the seat foam to ensure each Sport S maintains a consistent shape and profile.
Rather than using an original-style frame construction, the Sport S uses sturdy square-section steel tubing to create a strong foundation for the finished seat.

One of the main advantages of choosing a Retro Trim Seat Frame Kit is the freedom to select your own upholsterer and interior specification.
Instead of purchasing a completely finished seat, the kit can be supplied to your preferred local trim or restoration specialist.

Lightweight Steel Frame Construction
Each seat is handmade around a lightweight protected steel tube frame.
The Sport S uses square-section steel tubing to provide a sturdy structure while retaining the traditional proportions and appearance expected from a classic sports seat.
Fire-resistant foam is combined with Duralastic support belts within the seat frame, helping provide a comfortable yet supportive driving position.
The result is a seat designed to offer greater lateral support than a conventional flat classic-car seat while remaining suitable for road use and longer journeys.
Standard 3-Point Seatbelt Version
This Sport S Seat Frame Kit is designed for vehicles using standard 3-point seatbelts.
This makes it particularly suitable for classic road cars and restomods where improved seating support is required without converting the vehicle to a competition harness arrangement.
Oval Headrests Included
The seat frame kit is supplied with Oval-style headrests, helping complete the classic late-1960s and early-1970s appearance.
Alternative upgraded headrest styles are also available depending on the desired interior specification.
Seat Hinges Included
Seat hinges are included with the frame kit.
An optional tilting bracket is also available, allowing the seat to tilt forward for easier access to the rear seating area. This is particularly useful for classic Porsche 911 and other two-door coupé applications where rear access is required.
