Shock absorber upper strut mount. Front. The strut mount secures the strut to your vehicle’s chassis and supports the coil spring, while a built-in bushing absorbs impacts from the strut piston. Beneath the strut mount sits the strut bearing, allowing smooth movement of the strut with the steering knuckle as your wheels turn.
