- Porsche 911 1965-1968 2.0L / 912 SWB (F)
Diagram Ref No 25
Manufactured from high-quality corrosion-resistant materials with a premium automotive-grade EPDM rubber seal, the moulding is designed to withstand prolonged exposure to UV rays, ozone, moisture, road salt and changing temperatures. Precision-engineered for direct OE-style installation, it ensures an accurate fit and restores the clean lines of the lower bodywork, making it ideal for restoration projects or replacing worn, damaged or missing original trim.
What This Product Does:
- Restores the original appearance of the side sill.
- Protects the sill area from dirt, moisture and road debris.
- Provides a weather-resistant seal between the moulding and body.
- Helps prevent water from becoming trapped behind the trim.
- Reduces vibration and movement of the sill moulding.
- Maintains correct alignment of the exterior trim.
- Enhances the appearance of the vehicle's lower bodywork.
- Forms an integral part of the exterior body trim system.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Loose or detached sill moulding.
- Cracked, split or hardened rubber seal.
- Faded, scratched or damaged trim.
- Visible gaps between the moulding and body.
- Moisture or dirt trapped behind the trim.
- Corrosion developing along the sill.
- Rattling noises from loose trim.
- Perished rubber caused by age or UV exposure.
- Poor trim alignment.
- Reduced originality and cosmetic appearance.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The side sill moulding and rubber seal are constantly exposed to harsh environmental conditions, including rain, UV radiation, road debris, salt and temperature fluctuations. Over time, the trim can become damaged while the rubber seal may harden, crack or shrink, reducing its ability to protect the bodywork and maintain a secure fit.
- A deteriorated moulding assembly can allow moisture and debris to collect behind the trim, increasing the risk of corrosion to the sill and surrounding body panels. Loose or damaged trim may also vibrate during driving, affecting both refinement and the vehicle's appearance.
- Replacing worn or damaged side sill moulding and rubber seal restores the factory appearance while helping to protect the bodywork from corrosion and environmental damage. The OE Match replacement provides factory-style fitment, premium-quality materials and long-lasting durability, making it the ideal solution for Porsche restoration, repair and preventative maintenance.
