Fabspeed Sport Catalytic Converters with GT2RS Style Outlets
Get the absolute most power and sound from your 992 Twin Turbo without any check engine lights. This system exhaust mimics the valves open configuration of a 991 GT2 exhaust and because of the modular design if you find the setup too loud for everyday driving you can use the optional muffler adapter pipes so that you can reinstall the factory muffler or our Valvetronic Maxflo Exhaust.
SOUND:
This system provides an aggressive sound that matches the incredible power and speed of the 992 Turbo. Expect a significant increase in volume over stock more turbo spooling sounds, while burbles and pops on deceleration are much louder and sharper.
POWER:
This is the most free-flowing exhaust design possible while still maintaining catalytic converters. When testing on our AWD Dynojet power was up across the board. Down low, the Turbo spools faster and harder, netting 23.7 WHP and 41.5 ft/lbs of TQ at 3000 RPM. Max power gains are at 5300 RPM where it gained 47.7 WHP and 47.1 ft/lbs of TQ. That's a gain of 54 HP at the crank! See our dyno graph above for more details.

HJS German imported catalytic converters are made from some of the highest grade materials you can find in a catalytic converter. This yields high performance gains and longevity so it wont deteriorate over time like lower grade catalytic converters. Based on the European pre-muffler concept, this component replaces the original catalytic converter with a freer-flowing, resonated exhaust section. The result is reduced exhaust restriction, improved throttle response, reduced weight and a stronger air-cooled flat-six exhaust note.
Unlike a simple straight catalyst bypass pipe, the Fabspeed European Pre-Muffler incorporates a straight-through resonator with stainless-steel wool packing. This helps produce a deeper, more refined performance exhaust tone while reducing the harsh rasp often associated with completely straight-piped exhaust systems.
What This Product Does:
The pre-muffler replaces the factory catalytic converter section of the exhaust system.
Instead of forcing exhaust gases through the restrictive catalyst substrate, the Fabspeed pipe provides a freer-flowing route towards the rear muffler.
This is designed to:
- Reduce exhaust restriction
- Improve exhaust-gas flow
- Reduce backpressure
- Improve throttle response
- Increase horsepower and torque potential
- Reduce exhaust-system weight
- Increase exhaust volume
- Enhance the classic air-cooled flat-six sound
Because the original catalytic converter is removed, the component no longer provides the emissions-treatment function of the factory catalyst.
Resonated European Design:
- Rather than using a completely empty straight pipe, Fabspeed incorporates a straight-through resonator.
- The resonator allows exhaust gases to travel through the system with minimal restriction while controlling some of the undesirable frequencies produced by an unrestricted exhaust.
- Its stainless-steel wool packing helps create a deeper, more purposeful exhaust character without the excessive rasp commonly associated with a basic straight catalyst-delete pipe.
Performance Benefits:
Fabspeed states that the European Pre-Muffler provides 16+ wheel horsepower and 15+ ft-lb of torque, together with significantly improved throttle response.
During Fabspeed DynoJet testing, peak curve gains of up to 21 WHP and 17 ft-lb at approximately 4,500 rpm were recorded, with maximum power increases of approximately 16 WHP and 16 ft-lb.
These are manufacturer-reported figures from a specific test vehicle and should not be considered guaranteed results for every Porsche 911.
