Porsche additional air valve exchange surcharge 911110273U, linked to reconditioned valve 911110273X for the listed 1977–80 Porsche 911 applications. It covers the surcharge only; the valve is a separate component.
Fits
Porsche 911 2.7 / 3.0 Carrera / 3.0 SC 1977–80
Check fitment for your specific vehicle (model, year, engine) before ordering.
What This Product Does
This surcharge is associated with the reconditioning exchange arrangement for valve 911110273X. The removed component is returned for inspection to establish its suitability for reconditioning.
The associated valve supplies extra intake air during starting and early engine warm-up in CIS/K-Jetronic applications. That mechanical function belongs to the valve, not to this surcharge.
Functions
- Identifies the surcharge associated with reconditioned valve 911110273X.
- Relates to the removed component’s return and inspection within the exchange arrangement.
Technical Details
- Exchange surcharge reference: 911110273U.
- Related reconditioned valve: 911110273X.
- Associated component: additional air valve, also called an auxiliary air valve.
- Related injection system: CIS/K-Jetronic.
- Exchange unit acceptance is subject to assessment of the returned component.
Symptoms of Fault
The following concerns relate to the associated valve rather than the surcharge: difficulty with cold starting, irregular idle as the engine warms, stalling after starting, or hesitant running before operating temperature is reached. These symptoms alone do not establish that the valve is faulty.
Why Replacement Matters
If the associated valve sticks or becomes restricted, the engine may receive unsuitable airflow during starting and warm-up. Investigate intake leaks and other CIS/K-Jetronic components before deciding to replace it, because similar running problems can have several causes.
This surcharge applies only when the relevant reconditioned exchange unit is ordered.
FAQs
Does this include a replacement valve?
No. It is the surcharge associated with the reconditioned component, not an additional valve.
Which reference identifies each item?
The valve carries reference 911110273X; 911110273U identifies its associated surcharge.
Are returned components automatically accepted?
No. The removed component requires inspection to determine whether reconditioning is appropriate.
What should be checked before ordering?
Compare the original valve’s reference with the associated replacement and verify the vehicle’s model, engine, production year and VIN where needed.
