Torque tube bushing with bearing 25mm torque tube
Sold individually (3 bearings needed for torque tube)
Porsche does not offer separate torque tube bearings for the 993/964, meaning if the bearings fail, your only option has been to purchase a completely new torque tube. In response, OE Match and our trusted supplier have taken the initiative to design, develop, and manufacture high-quality 993/964 torque tube bearings, now available for individual purchase
Fits:Porsche 964 1989-94
Porsche 993 1995-98
• Clean/sand (with sandpaper) the tube (inner part),
• Lightly lubricate the rubber (acid-free lubricant),
• Ensure the correct installation direction,
• Press against the outer contact surface during installation (only onto the aluminum housing),
• A high installation force will be required (press in with hydraulics)

Restore critical drivetrain support in your Porsche 911 AWD models with this genuine-spec torque tube bearing bushing. Designed for the Porsche 964 (1989-94) C4 and 993 (1995-98) C4 series, this precision bearing support replaces the internal bushing of the torque tube and ensures your drive shaft remains aligned, smooth and free from excessive vibration. Ideal for restoring worn drive assemblies, eliminating shaft rumble or clunk, and maintaining the structural integrity of your Porsche’s AWD drivetrain.

What This Product Does:
- The bearing bushing supports the drive shaft inside the torque tube, allowing it to spin freely, in correct alignment, while the tube assembly maintains structural connection between gearbox and front differential (or transfer case) in AWD/4WD models.
- It ensures smooth rotation, minimal vibration, correct alignment of the shaft, and keeps axial or radial movement within acceptable limits. This preserves drivetrain geometry, reduces wear on the shaft/flange joints and supports NVH (noise-vibration-harshness) control.
- If the bearing bushing is worn or failed, the drive shaft may exhibit excessive movement, misalignment, vibrations, or clunking—leading to further accelerated wear of connected components (flanges, bearings, seals).
Symptoms & Signs Of Wear / Need For Replacement:
- Vibration or grinding noise from the driveline, especially under acceleration, or at certain engine/shaft speeds—indicating the shaft is not properly supported.
- Clunking or knocking when engaging drive (or during the transition of power front-to-rear) due to excessive shaft movement or misalignment.
- Uneven or accelerated wear of the drive shaft flanges, U-joints or bearings because the mis-alignment has increased load on them.
- Leaking seals around the torque tube or front differential input because the shaft may be oscillating more than designed and stressing the seals.
- Axial or radial play when inspecting the shaft within the tube—if the bearing bushing is worn, you may see movement of the shaft where it should be tight.
- Because many owners did not realise the bearings could be replaced separately, some symptoms may have been treated as drive-shaft or flange issues instead of the bearing bushing itself.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Drivetrain longevity: Replacing a worn bearing bushing prevents further damage to the drive shaft, flanges, U-joints, seals and other components that suffer when alignment is compromised.
- Noise-Vibration-Harshness improvements: A new bearing support helps reduce driveline vibrations and improves refinement—especially important for long-distance driving or performance use where shaft/torque tube behaviour matters.
- Safety & reliability: Excessive shaft movement or failure of a support in the drivetrain can lead to catastrophic failure under load—especially in AWD models. Fixing the bearing bushing restores the designed support.
- Cost-effectiveness: Previously, the only fix for a worn bearing in some models was replacing the complete torque tube (which is expensive). These individual bushings provide a more economical and practical solution.
- Performance & alignment: Proper support of the drivetrain helps maintain alignment under load, ensures power delivery remains consistent, and avoids unnecessary flex in the system which can degrade handling or drivetrain feel.
