A transmission oil pan and service kit designed to match the quality and fitment of Porsche original equipment. It is a comprehensive kit used during routine transmission maintenance on select Porsche 987 Boxster/Cayman, 997 Gen 2, and 991 models with the 9P1 / 9G3 / 9A1 transmission designation. This kit provides all the essential components needed to properly service the transmission oil pan area and maintain correct sealing and lubrication.
This kit is ideal for routine transmission fluid and filter service, including full oil pan removal and reinstallation, especially when performing a major service or troubleshooting transmission fluid contamination or leaks.
The transmission oil pan service kit includes carefully selected components to assist with proper drainage, sealing, and refilling of the transmission system. During service, the transmission oil pan is removed to replace the fluid and filter media, and often to inspect for wear debris or contamination.
Components in the kit help:
• Seal the oil pan to the gearbox to prevent fluid leaks
• Replace the internal filter or screen (if included)
• Restore correct torque and sealing surfaces when reassembled
Regular transmission service is integral to preserving gearbox performance and longevity. Over time, transmission fluid degrades and filters can become restricted, which can lead to:
