The 991.2 Carrera introduced Porsche's twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre flat-six engine, using a dedicated turbocharger for each cylinder bank. These BorgWarner units provide a direct replacement solution for the original turbochargers while retaining the factory-style boost characteristics, response and drivability of the standard engine.

The K03.3 turbochargers used on the 991.2 Carrera are engineered to provide rapid boost response together with the airflow required by Porsche's 3.0L twin-turbo flat-six.
