Information
Lower wishbone complete
This OE Match complete lower wishbone (also known as a lower control arm) is a direct-fit replacement suspension component for the Porsche Panamera 971 family of vehicles. It is a vital structural component of the front suspension system. It links the vehicle’s chassis to the front wheel hub and works in conjunction with the upper wishbone, strut, ball joint and other suspension links to control wheel motion, absorb road forces and maintain correct alignment.
Fits:
Porsche 971.1 Panamera 2017 - 2021
Porsche 971.2 Panamera 2012 - 2024
For cars with option code 0J2 / 0J3 - Basic Load Group 1
Diagram ref no 1
The lower wishbone plays a key role in front suspension geometry and dynamics. It stabilises the wheel hub, supports vertical and lateral loads, and helps control the wheel’s path as the suspension compresses and rebounds. A properly functioning lower wishbone ensures:
• Stable front wheel positioning
• Predictable steering response
• Even tyre contact with the road
• Accurate alignment under load
Replacing worn or damaged lower wishbones helps restore suspension precision, ride comfort and overall vehicle control.
Function
• Wheel Control: Guides front wheel motion while maintaining suspension geometry
• Load Distribution: Transfers forces from road impacts into the chassis
• Alignment Stability: Maintains camber and track under braking, acceleration and cornering
• Durability: Heavy-duty design resists flex and fatigue under normal and spirited driving
Over time, the lower wishbone and its bushings can deteriorate due to:
• Road impacts and pothole damage
• Wear and fatigue from repeated suspension loads
• Corrosion or weakened ball joints/bushings
A worn or damaged lower wishbone can lead to:
• Poor steering precision
• Uneven or accelerated tyre wear
• Loose or unstable feel under braking or cornering
• Reduced ride comfort
Installing a new OE Match lower wishbone restores proper front suspension geometry, improves handling consistency, enhances safety and prolongs the life of tyres and related components.
Replace the lower wishbone if you notice:
• Clunking or knocking noises from the front suspension
• Uneven tyre wear or alignment drift
• Steering that feels loose or imprecise
• Vibration under acceleration or braking
• During front suspension rebuild or alignment service

Information
Upper wishbone on front suspension.
The upper wishbone (also called an upper control arm) is a key component of the front suspension system. It links the chassis to the wheel knuckle and helps guide the motion of the front wheels as the suspension travels over road surfaces.
Sold each, Fits Left or right side.
Fits:
Porsche 971.1 Panamera 2017 - 2021
Porsche 971.2 Panamera 2021 - 2023
Porsche 976 Panamera 2024>>
Diagram ref no 8
The upper wishbone stabilises the wheel hub and maintains correct wheel camber, caster and track during driving. It works together with the lower wishbone, ball joint and strut assembly to control wheel movement, absorb road forces and ensure stable steering response.
Replacing worn or bent wishbones with an OE Match arm helps:
• Maintain correct suspension geometry
• Improve steering precision and handling
• Reduce uneven tyre wear
• Restore ride comfort and wheel alignment
Function
• Wheel Guidance: Supports and guides front wheel movement throughout suspension travel
• Geometry Control: Maintains alignment angles (camber, caster) for predictable handling
• Load Bearing: Transfers vertical and lateral loads from the wheel to the chassis
• Durability: Reinforced design ensures long-lasting performance under dynamic driving conditions
Over time, the upper wishbone can deteriorate due to road impacts, pothole damage, corrosion, and natural wear of its bushings and joints. As it weakens, you may experience poor steering response, uneven tyre wear, pulling under braking, or vibration and instability at higher speeds. Replacing it with this OE Match upper wishbone restores proper suspension geometry, improves handling precision, enhances safety, and helps extend the life of tyres and related components.
Replace the upper wishbone if you notice:
• Unusual tyre wear patterns
• Clunking or knocking noises over bumps
• Steering misalignment or pull to one side
• Loose or imprecise steering feel
• During front suspension overhaul or alignment work

The upper control arm is a key component of the front suspension system. It connects the steering knuckle to the chassis, helping locate the wheel while allowing controlled vertical movement.
Its role includes:
• Maintaining wheel alignment and camber during suspension travel
• Transferring loads between the chassis and steering knuckle
• Supporting smooth ride and handling by allowing controlled up/down motion
• Housing bushings and ball joints that damp vibration and permit precise steering articulation
A worn or damaged control arm can lead to uneven tyre wear, pulling, unstable handling, and noise - making this genuine Porsche arm a vital replacement item when restoring correct suspension geometry.
Control arms are fundamental to vehicle dynamics and safety. Over time, bushings and ball joints wear, leading to:
• Steering wander or pull
• Uneven tyre wear
• Clunking or knocking noise
• Reduced handling precision
A genuine Porsche OE arm ensures proper geometry, strength and durability - engineered for Panamera’s specific suspension loads and dynamics.
