- Porsche 914 (1970-1976)
The Water Drain Hose Kit
These newly manufactured PVC hoses replace aged, damaged or missing drainage tubes associated with the engine-lid rain tray and fresh-air ventilation box.
Fits
- Porsche
914 1970–76
What This Product Does
The hoses provide defined drainage paths for rainwater collected by the relevant tray or air-box assembly. Correctly routed drains help direct water away instead of allowing it to collect around adjacent bodywork and components.
Functions
- Routes collected rainwater through the vehicle drainage system
- Connects to the rain-tray or fresh-air box drain points, depending on application
- Replaces hoses that have hardened, split, become blocked or detached
- Helps limit unwanted water accumulation around the associated assembly
Technical Details
- Construction: high-grade PVC
- New-production replacement hose kit
- Internal parts data identifies 75 mm and 400 mm hose applications, plus an additional unspecified-length drain hose
- Used within the engine-compartment lid and ventilation/heating drainage assemblies
- One kit is required for each application
Symptoms of Fault
- Cracked, brittle or missing drain hoses
- Water collecting beneath the rain tray or around the fresh-air box
- Restricted drainage caused by debris or collapsed hose walls
- Drain tubes becoming loose at their connection points
- Visible dampness or corrosion near drainage areas
Why Replacement Matters
Drain hoses deteriorate through age, heat exposure and prolonged contact with moisture. Renewing damaged or obstructed hoses restores the intended water path and helps reduce pooling in corrosion-prone areas. Check the adjoining funnels, T-piece, clamps and connection points during installation, replacing worn supporting items where necessary.
FAQs
- What is this kit used for? It replaces water drain hoses serving the Porsche 914 rain-tray or fresh-air box drainage system.
- How many kits are required? One kit is required per drainage application.
- Should related fittings be inspected? Yes. Examine the hose clamps, funnels, grommets, T-piece and adjoining seals for wear, damage or blockage while the system is accessible.
