QuickChange Torsion Bars are Plated & Plugged and include a female threaded end that you can engage with a bolt to use as a handle for easier extraction / insertion.
Use the rears bars in combination with our QuickChange™ Spring Plate products for fast torsion bar swapping and re-indexing. QuickChange™ Torsion Bars can be extracted through the QuickChange™ Spring Plate without removing any bolts. Alignment settings are maintained. You don't even need to remove the wheel from the car. Changing torsion bars is a 5 minute per side operation!
A QuickChange™ Insert is available separately for converting your existing hollow torsion bars.
QuickChange™ Torsion Bars make it easy to dislodge a stuck bar, and thereby offer benefits even when used on the front and with factory spring plates (factory spring do not allow the bars to be extracted without removing the plates).

Why do Porsche Torsion Bars matter?Torsion bars form the main spring element on many classic Porsche models, controlling ride height and contributing to overall balance and stability. Over time they can corrode, lose effectiveness or no longer suit how you want the car to feel. When should you review or replace your Porsche torsion bars?Checking torsion bars regularly helps you spot wear, damage or age-related deterioration before it affects comfort, refinement or leads to more expensive repairs later on.
- Sagging ride height, uneven corner heights, corrosion issues, seized splines, and handling imbalance. Clunks may be related to spring plate bushes or trailing arm bushes rather than the torsion bar itself.
- Torsion bars are changed to restore correct ride height, replace worn/corroded components, or alter spring rate for different handling goals. You may choose a rate that suits road comfort, fast road use, or track-style response, but correct damper pairing and setup are essential.
- You notice looseness, vibration or an untidy appearance around the suspension area
- You have had related suspension work carried out and want everything to feel consistent
If any of these apply, it is a good time to review your torsion bars and replace anything that is past its best so your Porsche stays dependable and enjoyable to drive.
