Sister product to BG 244 from BG Products, BG 245 is a newer premium fuel system cleaner for diesel systems. The BG range is regarded by professionals as the best fuel system cleaners of their kind.
Today’s diesels can produce more power with less fuel than ever before. Injector tips in High Pressure Common Rail injection (HPCR) systems are designed to handle produce twice as much injection pressure as mechanical fuel injection. However, diesel fuel is not, being notoriously inconsistent and therefore a threat to HPCR systems. Injector deposits at a miniscule quantity can cause sticking and carbon begins laying on the fuel filter until it reaches a point of plugging.
New BG 245 Premium Diesel Fuel System Cleaner removes and dissolves deposits from the entire diesel injection system, including inside fuel injectors and combustion chambers. Plus, BG 245 contains a fuel lubricity agent to protect components from wear and cetane improver for cold starts.

Modern diesel engines operate at high temperatures and pressures. This puts a lot of demand on diesel engine oils and the additives they contain. Hydraulically activated fuel injectors increase oil pressures and emissions devices increase soot accumulation in oil. These systems test the limits of engine oil. Under the right conditions, heat causes sulphur from fuel to combine with entrained moisture to create sulfuric acid.
