In 2018, the 971.1 Porsche Panamera turbo welcomed the Sport Turismo body variant, offering the same potent petrol engine as its sedan counterpart. Powered by a 4.0ltr biturbo V8, it delivers 404 kW / 550 hp at 5,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 770 Nm between 1,960 and 4,500 rpm. This represents a 30hp increase in power and a 70 Nm increase in torque compared to the previous model. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds (or 3.6 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package) and boasting a top speed of 306 km/h, the Panamera Turbo exhibits exceptional performance with a power-to-weight ratio of just 3.6 kg/hp.
Despite its impressive performance, the 971.1 Panamera turbo Sport Turismo achieves lower combined fuel consumption figures of 9.4 – 9.3 l/100 km, representing a reduction of up to 1.1 l/100 km compared to the previous model (as per the New European Driving Cycle or NEDC), with CO2 emissions of 214 – 212 g/km.
Equipped with complex twin-scroll turbochargers, the V8 engine delivers maximum torque at low engine speeds. The innovative adaptive cylinder control temporarily converts the eight-cylinder engine into a four-cylinder unit during part-load operation, reducing fuel consumption by up to 30 percent depending on power demand.
Measuring 5,049 millimeters in length, 1,428 millimeters in height, and 1,937 millimeters in width, with a wheelbase of 2,950 millimeters, the 971.1 Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo boasts a practical five-seater configuration with ample room, striking design, and exhilarating performance.
