The Porsche 970.2 Panamera Turbo received an update alongside the rest of the Panamera lineup for the 2014 model year. The facelift was unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show in 2013, with the Turbo version introduced in January 2014.
Inside, Porsche installed the PCM (Porsche Communication Management) system for infotainment, which supported Apple CarPlay but had limited compatibility with Android phones. The tachometer was centrally mounted in the instrument cluster, with a round TFT display to its right, capable of showing navigation and other on-board computer information.
The 2014 970.2 Panamera turbo retained its twin-turbo 4.8ltr V8 engine, now delivering 520hp, up from the previous 500hp. It was paired with the same 7-speed PDK (double-clutch) automatic gearbox, but with a revised final drive ratio. The turbo was equipped with the PTM (Porsche Traction Management) all-wheel-drive system. With the Porsche Chrono Package, the car could deliver an extra boost when needed.
