Porsche 957/958 Cayenne & 970 Panamera V8 Cam Cover Gasket Set - Cylinder 5-8
The cam cover gasket set is a comprehensive engine sealing
kit designed to protect key areas of the cylinder head from oil leaks.
This set
includes:
- Cam
cover gasket – Seals the connection between the cam (valve) cover and
the cylinder head to prevent oil seeping out.
- Spark
plug tube seals x 4 – Seal each spark plug well to keep engine oil out
of the plug wells and ensure consistent ignition performance.
- Throttle control element seal – Provides a reliable seal around the throttle control interface to prevent vacuum and oil leaks.
These components work together to keep your V8 engine
sealed, clean and running efficiently.

Why These Seals Fail
Cam cover gaskets and associated seals are exposed to heat
cycles, oil pressure and engine vibration throughout their life. Over time,
this can cause:
- Hardening and cracking due to prolonged heat exposure
- Compression set or material breakdown with age and mileage
- Oil contamination that accelerates seal wear
- Loss of flexibility leading to poor sealing surfaces
On high-mile Porsche Cayenne and Panamera V8 engines, this degradation often results in leaking oil around the cam covers and into the spark plug wells.
Why You May Need a Replacement Set
If your Porsche 957/958 Cayenne V8 or 970.1/970.2 Panamera
V8 shows signs of oil seepage, poor idle, misfires or fouled spark plugs, worn
cam cover gaskets and spark plug tube seals are a common cause.
Oil leaks can
