Front brake pad pin kit (also called a front brake pad fitting/hardware kit) for classic Porsche 911 (1974–1983) front calipers. It includes the retaining hardware that secures the brake pads correctly in the caliper.

It locks the front brake pads into the caliper using the correct factory-style retention method. Fresh hardware helps the pads sit correctly, reduces unwanted movement, and can help minimise brake noise caused by worn or corroded retaining parts.

Brake hardware lives in a harsh environment (heat, brake dust, water, corrosion). Over time, pins and spring clips can wear, rust, or lose tension - allowing pad movement that can cause noise, uneven pad wear, and less consistent braking feel. Replacing the hardware during pad changes helps maintain proper pad retention and braking refinement.
When to replace:
• During front brake pad replacement (best practice)
