In response to the many requests from Porsche drivers looking for a harness guide bar that would not only guide their driving harnesses but also allow them to mount their harnesses directly to the bar, we developed the "Harness Truss".
The Harness Truss has been tested and certified to handle the types of forces required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. DOT and SAE J385 Rev.MAR 95, Motor Vehicle Seat Belt Anchorages-Performance Requirements. It's strong, yet it weighs only a fraction of what a support of the same strength made from tubular or bar steel would weigh.
The Harness Truss is precision water-jet machined for a perfect fit into Porsche factory mounting points. This type of machining is accurate and does not create heat affected areas in the metal which can alter tensile strength. Strength requirements for harness mounts are considerably greater than those for harness guide bars since they must support the entire load applied to the belts. A mount really can't be relied upon unless it has been tested to support the loads required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Porsche 991 harness mount bar has been tested and certified by an independent lab to handle the types of forces required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. DOT and SAE J385 Rev.MAR 95, Motor Vehicle Seat Belt Anchorages-Performance Requirements.
The 991 harness mount bar properly locates and supports racing shoulder harnesses relative to the driver. In the case of an accident, it helps protect the driver's shoulders and spine. The harness guides also prevent excessive shifting and fatigue of the driver during the high G loads of cornering and braking. Our bars are easy to install and remove, use only existing holes and mounting points, and will not damage the car in any way.

The Brey-Krause Harness Mount supported the loads specified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. DOT for upper torso restraints in all automobiles. Tensile tests performed by an independent lab.
