Why Replace This Part?
Door mirror glass can become cracked, scratched, cloudy or damaged from impact, road debris, weather exposure or cleaning wear. Dimmable mirror glass can also fail internally, causing dark patches, stains, liquid marks or reduced visibility. Replacing the glass with a Genuine Porsche OE convex dimmable mirror glass restores the correct field of view, factory appearance and mirror function. It is especially important for safe lane changes, parking and motorway driving.
When to replace:
• If the right mirror glass is cracked or broken
• If the glass is scratched, cloudy or discoloured
• If the auto-dimming function has failed
• If the mirror has dark patches, staining or liquid marks
• If mirror heating is no longer functioning due to glass failure
• If visibility through the mirror is poor
• After impact damage to the exterior mirror
• During mirror housing repair or replacement
• When restoring the car with correct Porsche OE parts.
Where It Fits on the Car
This mirror glass fits in the right-hand exterior door mirror assembly. For left-hand-drive vehicles, this is normally the passenger-side mirror. It installs into the mirror carrier inside the door mirror housing and connects to the relevant heating/dimming electrical terminals where fitted.
