Fuel level sender gasket
This replacement rubber sealing gasket fits between the fuel level sender unit and fuel tank, providing a secure, fuel-resistant seal to help prevent petrol leaks and fuel vapour escaping from the sender mounting area.
An essential component when removing or replacing the fuel level sender, particularly during fuel tank restoration or maintenance.
Fits
- Porsche 911 1971-89
- Porsche 911 (930) Turbo 1975-89

What This Product Does
This gasket is fitted beneath the fuel level sender where it mounts to the fuel tank. It provides the sealing surface required between the sender unit and tank and is recommended whenever the sender is removed for servicing or replacement.
Functions
- Seals the sender mounting interface.
- Helps prevent petrol seepage and vapour escape at the joint.
Technical Details
- Brand: Porsche.
- Supplied reference: 477919133 / 113919133 / PCG919133A
- Component: fuel level sender gasket.
Symptoms of Fault
- Petrol odour near the sender mounting area.
- Dampness or staining around the sender joint.
- Visible deterioration or damage to the existing gasket.
Why Replacement Matters
Fuel level sender gaskets can deteriorate over time due to age, exposure to petrol and repeated temperature changes.
An old gasket may become hard, flattened, brittle or cracked, reducing its ability to seal effectively.
A damaged fuel sender gasket can allow petrol or fuel vapours to escape from the top of the fuel tank, potentially causing a noticeable petrol smell in the front luggage compartment.
Replacing the gasket helps restore a secure seal and reduces the risk of fuel leakage.
FAQs
Will this correct an erratic fuel gauge?
The gasket provides sealing only. Inaccurate readings require checks of the sender, wiring, earth connections and gauge.
Should the seal be checked during sender work?
Yes. Inspect the gasket whenever the sender is disturbed, as an aged or damaged seal can allow fumes or fuel to escape.

What This Product Does
This gasket seals the connection between the fuel tank and its level sender. It is a sealing component, rather than the electrical sender that supplies the dashboard fuel reading.
Functions
- Seals the sender mounting joint.
- Helps contain fuel and vapour at the sender opening.
Technical Details
- Brand: OE Match.
- Component: fuel level sender gasket.
- Supplied references: 477919133 and 113919133.
- Diagram Ref No 60.
Symptoms of Fault
- Petrol odour near the sender mounting area.
- Dampness or staining around the sender joint.
- Persistent fuel smells following tank or sender work.
Why Replacement Matters
A deteriorated sender seal can allow fuel or vapour to escape at the mounting joint. Renewing a damaged gasket addresses this sealing point during sender repairs or tank refurbishment. Check adjoining fittings and sealing surfaces rather than assuming every fuel smell originates from this gasket.
FAQs
Will this gasket correct an inaccurate fuel gauge?
It replaces the sender seal, not the sensing mechanism. Erratic readings require checks of the sender, wiring, earth connections and gauge.
Should the gasket be checked during sender removal?
Yes. Inspect the seal and mounting surfaces during the work, and replace a deteriorated gasket before reassembly.
Check fitment for your specific vehicle (model, year, engine) before ordering.
