The metal clip plays a vital role in holding the door channel rubber securely within the door frame, preventing movement and ensuring the weather seal functions as intended. Over time, original clips can become bent, corroded, weakened, or lost during repairs, allowing the channel rubber to loosen or detach. This OE Match replacement restores secure retention, making it an ideal choice for routine maintenance, repairs, and concours-quality Porsche restoration projects.
What This Product Does:
- Secures the door channel rubber within the door frame.
- Maintains correct alignment of the door channel seal.
- Prevents movement or detachment of the rubber channel.
- Helps ensure an effective weather seal around the door glass.
- Provides an OE-style fit and secure retention.
- Replaces damaged, corroded, or missing original clips.
- Supports smooth operation of the window within the guide channel.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Loose or detached door channel rubber.
- Bent, corroded, or broken retaining clips.
- Door channel rubber moving during window operation.
- Poor fitment of the door channel seal.
- Increased wind noise around the door glass.
- Water ingress caused by incorrectly retained seals.
- Missing retaining clips following previous repairs.
- Age-related deterioration of the original component.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The metal clip is a small but essential component that keeps the door channel rubber securely positioned within the door frame. If the clip becomes damaged or is missing, the seal can shift out of place, reducing weather protection, increasing wind noise, and affecting window operation.
- Replacing worn or missing clips restores the correct positioning of the door channel rubber, helping maintain effective sealing, smooth window movement, and the original fit and appearance of the door assembly. Manufactured to OE-style specifications, this OE Match replacement provides the correct fit, reliable retention, and long-lasting durability, making it an essential component for Porsche maintenance and restoration.
