Information
Pedal rubber accelerator.
The accelerator pedal (or pedal pad/cover assembly) is designed to replicate the original pedal used on Porsche 911 (G-series) and Porsche 928 models. Built to match Porsche’s original specifications, this pedal delivers correct ergonomics, reliable mounting, secure grip and direct-fit installation.
Fits:
Porsche 911 1977 - 1989
Porsche 928 1978 - 1995 all models
Diagram ref no 1
• Position on Vehicle: Driver’s footwell - accelerator pedal connecting to throttle linkage or cable (depending on spec), mounted in the footwell pedal cluster (alongside brake and clutch pedals).
• Function: Provides the interface between driver and throttle - allows foot control of engine throttle, enabling acceleration; ensures stable, correct pedal travel, grip, positioning and control feedback for safe, responsive driving.
• Applications: Ideal when the original pedal is worn, bent, missing, rubber pad degraded or if restoring a classic Porsche to correct interior spec. Also suited for owners seeking reliable, direct-fit replacement without modification.
Over time, the accelerator pedal assembly can suffer from wear, corrosion, pad deterioration or damage - leading to:
• Slippery or degraded pedal surface, risking foot slip under acceleration
• Inconsistent throttle control or poor feedback
• Altered pedal geometry affecting ergonomics and comfort
• Safety issues in slippery or demanding driving conditions
Replacing a pedal ensures secure foot contact, original pedal feel, safe throttle control and preserves the authenticity of your classic Porsche’s driving dynamics.
When to replace:
• The original pedal pad is worn, cracked or missing
• Pedal arm is bent, loose or shows signs of corrosion
• Pedal cluster refurbishment or interior restoration is being carried out
• You are reinstalling or repairing the throttle linkages and want all components fresh for reliability

Information
Pedal rubber accelerator
This OE match accelerator pedal rubber is a direct replacement for the original Porsche component fitted to early 911 and 914 models. It forms the contact surface between the driver’s foot and the accelerator pedal.
Fits:
Porsche 911 1965 - 1976
Porsche 914 1970 - 1976
Installed as part of the accelerator pedal assembly, it restores both functionality and the original driving feel expected from classic Porsche vehicles. It is particularly important for maintaining correct pedal response and driver control.
This pedal rubber provides a non-slip surface for the driver’s foot, allowing precise control of throttle input. It ensures smooth acceleration and improved driving safety by maintaining consistent pedal grip and responsiveness.
Function
• Provides grip for accelerator pedal operation
• Transfers driver input to throttle system
• Ensures smooth and controlled acceleration
• Reduces foot slippage during driving
• Withstands repeated use and heat exposure
Over time, pedal rubber can wear down, harden, or become slippery, reducing control and comfort. A worn pedal may lead to inconsistent throttle response or reduced driver confidence. Replacing it restores proper grip, improves driving precision, and maintains the original feel of the vehicle.
When to Replace
• Rubber is worn smooth or slippery
• Visible cracking or deterioration
• Reduced grip during acceleration
• Pedal feels loose or uneven underfoot
• During interior restoration or pedal overhaul
