This valve ensures correct one-way flow of fuel or air inside the carburettor circuit, prevents backflow, and helps maintain correct mixture and idle characteristics. It is ideally suited for carburettor rebuilds, tuning projects, or restoration of original induction systems.
• Function: Ensures one-way flow within the carburettor system; prevents backflow
• Position: Inside carburettor body
• Benefits: OE-geometry, reliable sealing, restores proper mixture control, long life
The check/ball-valve is a small but critical component inside the carburettor that undergoes repeated movement, contact with fuel and vapour, and constant temperature cycling. Over time, the seat or ball may wear, the seal may fail or corrode, resulting in fuel or air leakage, poor idle, mixture inconsistencies, or even flooding.
Replace this valve when:
• Rebuilding or servicing the carburettor unit
• Noted unstable idle, mixture issues or back-flow in the carburettor
• The original valve shows signs of wear, corrosion or stickiness
• You’re restoring the induction system to original specification
Installing a new valve ensures correct flow control, dependable carburettor function and contributes to smooth, period-correct performance in your classic Porsche.
