Coilover brake line support bracket kit.
Fits:
Porsche 911 - 1965 to 1989
Standard front struts have welded-on brackets to support the brake hard line. Threaded body coilover struts and coilover sleeve conversion require the removal of these brackets, leaving the brake lines unsupported and prone to failure – always at the worst possible time.
- Our support bracket kit is an easy bolt-on support for the brake lines and bolts to existing threaded holes on the strut.
- Easy bolt-on – Attaches to the brake dust shield mounting holes using provided hardware. dust shields can be retained or removed.
- Prevents brake hard line flex / fatigue – Supports the brake hard line. Unsupported, the hard line will constantly flex and eventually leak.
- Quality throughout – Purpose made brackets are laser – cut from stainless steel and pre-formed. Top quality hardware is provided to complete the kit.

Helper springs have a very low rate and collapse under the car’s weight and their purpose is to keep the main spring tensioned when the wheel goes to full droop under hard cornering (lifted wheel), over bumps, and on the jack.
Helper springs are required in any coilover setup in which the mainspring looses tension at full droop – that is most coilover setups. If the following formula is true, you need helper springs:
Corner weight / Wheel rate < rebound travel
Without helpers, the main spring may not re-seat properly and will cause a sudden change to that corner weight/height.
Correct spring divider hardware is required between the main and helper springs.
Helper springs are available in a variety of diameters and lengths.

1 kit, req'd per car.

Fits:
Porsche 911 / 912 / 930 / 914 1965-1989
Product description:
Coilover springs increase the diameter of front struts, often contacting the chassis such that the spring diameter limits the available camber adjustment range.
These extended-length upper spring perches solve the problem by moving the spring down where it won't contact the chassis.
Some cars can get over a degree of added camber adjustment range.
Extended-length perches are available for 2.25″ springs. You can add a 2.25″ to 2.5″ adaptor to use with 2.5″ springs.
Available with a 26mm ID for use only with QuickChange camber plates and with a 16mm ID for use with conventional camber plates.

Historic Rally Porsche 911 (1963-1989)
Based on Öhlins extensive kit system applications for Historic Rally are available. These versions includes the Porsche 911 Historic Rally car.
The front damper is available in a non-adjustable and an adjustable version. The non-adjustable version is based on a 40 mm cylinder tube that fits into the original Porsche McPherson Bilstein outer tube. The piston shaft is 12 mm and has a balanced setting developed for both Tarmac and Gravel. The front adjustable version has a 16 mm piston shaft hollowed with a valve and jet that is externally adjustable. This one adjuster adjusts both compression and rebound with the use of a bleed system and also has a temperature compensating system. It is also fully rebuildable and possible to tailor make settings for.
The rear shock has a 46 mm damping piston used together with a 16 mm piston shaft with compression and rebound adjustable with one external adjuster. This design also has the temperature compensating system and is of course rebuildable and possible to tailor make settings for.
This combination of Öhlins front and rear has already shown top performance in various Historic Rallies. The product is classical Öhlins and therefore completely rebuildable and possible to tailor make settings for.

Coilover springs do not fit into the top of the tapered chassis cavities where the rear shocks mount.
These extended-length upper spring perches solve the problem by moving the spring down where it doesn't contact the chassis.
The perches are available for 2.25″ springs. Or you can add a 2.25″ to 2.5″ adapter to use 2.5″ springs.
They have a 14mm ID to fit Von Shocks, Bilstein RSR, HD, and Sport shocks.
Also available Super Extended Length Upper Perches for '65-'71 cars.

Porsche Classic Safari & Coil Over Kits
Classic Porsche models respond brilliantly to carefully chosen safari and coil over suspension kits, whether you are building a raised "Safari" 911, a fast-road car, or a focused track project. At Design911, we supply a wide range of Classic Safari & Coil Over Kits for Porsche models, allowing you to tune ride height, stance and handling to suit how you use and enjoy your car.
Why do Classic Safari & Coil Over Kits matter?
Suspension is central to how any Porsche feels from behind the wheel, and classic models are no exception. Standard springs and dampers were designed around period tyres, road conditions and expectations. Many original components are now decades old, tired or mismatched, which can leave the car feeling soft, vague or inconsistent. A well-matched safari or coil over kit lets you refresh the chassis in a structured way, tailor the car’s stance and travel, and bring its behaviour in line with modern roads and your preferred driving style, whether that’s gravel tracks, B‑roads or smooth circuits.
- Keep your Porsche looking purposeful with a coherent, adjustable stance
- Refresh old, sagging or mismatched springs and dampers in one coordinated package
- Support better body control and composure appropriate to your chosen set‑up
- Enhance long-term enjoyment, flexibility and potential appeal of your Porsche build
Common options & kits
Individual replacement parts Specific items to address a particular area or issue without changing everything at once.
- Ideal for targeted repairs or small upgrades around an existing setup
- Lets you replace only what is worn, damaged or limiting adjustment
- Helps keep initial expenditure under control whilst planning a larger build
Matched sets or pairs Components supplied together so both sides or related items are renewed at the same time.
- Consistent damping and spring behaviour across an axle
- Helps avoid uneven response from mixed or part‑worn components
- A sensible choice for routine suspension refreshes or incremental upgrades
Complete kits Grouped parts designed to refresh or transform the whole suspension in one go.
- Everything specified together in a single, compatible package
- Saves time compared with sourcing individual components separately
- Ideal when creating a safari build, fast‑road package or full restoration

When should you review or replace your Porsche classic safari & coil over kits?
Checking suspension components and kit settings regularly helps you spot wear, damage or set‑up limitations before they affect confidence or lead to extra work later on. This is especially true for classic Porsches that see mixed use, from daily roads to occasional track days or gravel events.
- Existing springs, dampers or mounts are worn, leaking, corroded or mismatched
- You notice excessive roll, squat, dive or a generally untidy ride height or stance
- You have changed wheels, tyres or intended usage and need the chassis to match
- You are embarking on a safari-style, fast‑road or track‑focused build and want a coherent kit rather than piecemeal parts
If any of these apply, it is a good time to review your classic safari & coil over setup and replace anything that is past its best so your Porsche stays enjoyable and confidence‑inspiring to drive.
