This complete Genuine Porsche PADM Gearbox Mount Kit includes two active engine/gearbox mounts together with the original Porsche mounting hardware required for installation. The mounts are designed for Porsche models equipped with PADM – Porsche Active Drivetrain Mounts (Dynamic Engine Mount system).

As genuine Porsche components, the mounts and hardware are engineered to factory standards for precise fitment, vibration isolation, and dynamic drivetrain control, ensuring the powertrain remains correctly supported while maintaining the performance characteristics Porsche intended.
This OE kit includes everything required to replace both mounts and associated fastening hardware:
2 × PADM Active Gearbox / Engine Mounts – 982399202J
4 × Hexagon head bolts BM8 × 50 – PAF008150
4 × Hexagon Nuts M8 – PAF003923
2 × Nuts M12 × 1,5 – 99908600902
Replacing mounts as a pair with new hardware helps maintain correct torque and drivetrain alignment.
Gearbox or engine mounts secure the powertrain assembly (engine and transmission) to the vehicle chassis while isolating vibration. In vehicles equipped with PADM (Porsche Active Drivetrain Mounts), the mounts are electronically controlled and can dynamically change stiffness depending on driving conditions.
The system can soften the mount during normal driving for comfort and stiffen it during aggressive driving or Sport modes to reduce engine movement, improve handling, and enhance drivetrain response.
Over time, engine mounts can degrade due to heat, vibration, and drivetrain load cycles. On PADM-equipped vehicles, internal electronic components and hydraulic elements may also wear. Symptoms of worn mounts can include:
• Increased vibration or harshness in the cabin
• Excess drivetrain movement during acceleration
• Reduced handling precision PADM system warning messages
Installing genuine Porsche OE mounts ensures the correct electronic integration, damping behaviour, and structural support needed for optimal driving dynamics.
