Guide bush/locking segment for handbrake cable.
The OE Match guide bush / locking segment is a replacement built to Porsche’s original specifications for 356 models. It replicates the genuine part’s fit and function, restoring smooth, secure handbrake operation and proper lever alignment within the handbrake cable assembly.
Fits:
for Right Hand Drive (RHD) cars
Porsche 356 A/540.1 1950 - 1955
Porsche 356 B / C 1950 - 1965
Porsche 356 Carrera 2000 upto 1963
Diagram ref no 9
This small but crucial component acts as both a guide and locking element for the handbrake cable system. It helps position and secure the handbrake lever, allowing smooth engagement and precise locking when the parking brake is applied. The OE Match design guarantees consistent tension, proper alignment, and dependable lever operation—just like the original Porsche part.
Over time, the original guide bush or locking segment can wear, corrode, or lose its shape, leading to poor lever engagement or handbrake slippage. Installing this OE Match replacement restores the original geometry and locking precision, ensuring secure handbrake hold, smooth release, and long-lasting reliability.
