iCarsoft POR V4.0
POR V4.0 for Porsche
iCarsoft POR V4.0 is latest car diagnostic tool designed for Porsche vehicles. It supplied with Porsche software pre-installed, and 2 further vehicle makes can be downloaded free of charge. It performs a comprehensive scan of all supported systems within your vehicle. In addition to the regular 4 systems such Engine, ABS, Airbag and Transmission, it covers more complex systems diagnostic functions. With 5 inches touchscreen and Wi-Fi update. The POR V4.0 is specially made for home mechanics, DIYers, and professionals. Give your aging cars satisfying routine maintenance to avoid costly repairs, a breakdown, or even a crash.
PIWIS-Grade Diagnostics. Built for Porsche
Owners and Independent Technicians.
The POR V4.0 covers every Porsche system —
from engine and transmission to SRS airbag, ABS, and dealer-level ECU
adaptations — with full bidirectional control, 28 service functions, and
lifetime free software updates. Compatible with all Porsche models from 1996 to
2025.
✓ 5" Android Touchscreen
✓ CAN-FD Supported
✓ 15 Languages
✓ Lifetime Free Updates
1. One Device Covers 3 Vehicle Make Groups
The iCarsoft POR V4.0 comes
pre-installed with software for Porsche, making it ready to use right out of
the box. 2 further vehicle make groups can be downloaded when you need it free
of charge.
* You can find the vehicle groups to choose from in the table in the product photo gallery. *
2. Powerful Hardware
iCarsoft POR V4.0 car diagnostic tool is equipped with a 5-inch Ultra HD Touch Screen, Android operating system, Quad Core 1.3 GHz processor, 64GB memory and a 5000mAh battery for around 6 hours of continuous use. It offers a user-friendly interface and an ultra-smooth diagnostic experience.
3. Lifetime Free Software Upgrades
Unlike other OBD scan tools on the market that require annual subscription fees, the POR V4.0 offers lifetime free software upgrades. Updates are delivered wirelessly via Wi-Fi, with new diagnostic protocols and vehicle model coverage continuously released.
4. Supports the Latest CAN-FD Protocol
CAN-FD (Controller Area Network – Flexible Data-rate) is the next-generation communication protocol that Porsche has adopted across its latest platforms.
5. Advanced Bi-Directional Control
Ordinary OBD scanners only read fault codes — they tell you what might be wrong, but not which part is actually failing. The POR V4.0 goes further: full bidirectional control lets you send commands directly to individual components and watch them respond in real time.
On a Porsche, that means you can:
• Cycle the ABS pump motor and bleed each wheel circuit individually
• Activate the fuel pump to verify pressure before tearing down the rail
• Test window regulators, door locks, mirrors, and sunroof motors module by module
• Command throttle body opening to diagnose idle and acceleration faults
• Run actuator tests on the PDK transmission, PASM dampers, and PCM infotainment modules
Identify the faulty part in minutes — not days of trial-and-error part-swapping.
6. Fast AutoVIN Identification:
Skip the manual VIN typing — simply plug in, and the tool identifies your vehicle in seconds. No typos, no extra lookup time. This boosts accuracy, eliminates input errors, and delivers a smoother, more reliable diagnostic experience.
7. Supports 15 Global Languages
Porsche scanner POR V4.0 supports English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Czech, Swedish, Russian, Hungarian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Danish, and Finnish.
8. 28 Comprehensive Service Functions
The POR V4.0 is far more than a basic code reader. It integrates 9 commonly-used service functions for daily maintenance and 19 advanced professional functions for complex repair tasks — 28 in total.
▸ 9 Hot Service Functions covering your daily maintenance needs.
Oil Reset:
Allows you to reset the engine oil life system, service lamp, service mileage, and service intervals after an oil change.
Electronic Throttle Control:
Relearns throttle valve control parameters after resetting or replacing the throttle body.
EPB-Brake-Pad Reset (EPB):

FAQ:
Q1: Is the software updated regularly? Are updates free?
A:
Yes. POR V4.0 includes lifetime free Wi-Fi software upgrades. No annual
subscription required.
Q2:
What's the difference between POR V4.0 and the older POR V3.0?
Vehicle make coverage expansion: POR V4.0 allows users to download
additionally 2 vehicle make groups.
Hardware upgrade: POR V4.0 features upgraded
hardware (5-inch touchscreen, Android OS, Quad-Core processor, 64GB storage,
5000mAh battery).
Q3: The POR V4.0 cannot recognize my vehicle
by AutoVIN, does it mean the device is faulty?
A: It doesn’t mean the device is faulty. You
can send your vehicle VIN number to our support team; we will check if AutoVIN
function supports your vehicle. If not available yet, you can manually select
the vehicle model to diagnose, normal functions won’t be affected. Our R&D
team will add your VIN information into the database and release relevant
updates later.
Q4: DTCs can be read normally but fail to be
cleared or reappear after clearance, why?
A: Please keep ignition on and engine off.
Record freeze frame data first before clearing codes.
Persistent hardware faults need physical repair prior to code clearance.
Some fault codes of systems like SRS and ABS can only be cleared after finishing bidirectional tests.
Q5: The device turns on but cannot establish a diagnostic connection. What should I do?
A: Please verify your vehicle model and production year. POR V4.0 supports Porsche models manufactured from 1996 to 2025. Certain service functions for 2024 vehicles are still being optimized. Disable the vehicle power-saving mode and update your firmware and software to the latest version.

Hardware
Our OBD2 to USB PoCOM interface contains 2 multiplexed ISO9141 K-Lines and L-Line, high-speed CAN-BUS and analog measurement circuits. Supported protocols include KW-71, KW-1281, KWP2000, VW TP1.6, VW TP2.0, ISO15765 and UDS ISO14229.
We do not supply Porsche round connector at this moment. Pre-1996 Porsche models with round Porsche connector are covered, but third party adapter must be used and functionality cannot be 100% guaranteed. Durametric/Sensolutions adapter should work with PoCOM.
