The Rennline Tunable Engine Mount for the 911/930 offers the ultimate in adjustability for your car. Replacing your compliant factory mounts will decrease engine movement resulting in better acceleration, handling and significantly increased shifter feel. This is the ultimate solution for almost any car, and allows you to tune our mounts for the way you drive. Our mounts are CNC machined from billet aluminum and include three pairs of inserts in varying densities. Tune your mounts by using the softer inserts to reduce engine slop and avoid missed shifts in your street car, or utilize the stiffest inserts to get the most from a more focused track car. You can even mix and match, giving you 9 possible combinations to let you dial in our mount to your specifications. Here at Rennline we know you want your Porsche to be flawless, and that is why we are Driven to Improve Excellence.

Solid engine and transmission mounts are a smart upgrade to any track or aggressive street car, and were installed on Porsche factory race cars. Stock mounts are made of compliant rubber, and contribute to imprecise shifting and inferior throttle response. Solid mounts create slightly more interior vibration than rubber mounts, but securely connect the engine and transmission assembly to the car's unibody, creating a crisper throttle response and shifter feel. Rennline's solid mounts are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum for strength and light weight, and come with new Grade 8 mounting hardware.
Rennline mounts install easily in both the transmission and engine mount locations for all 1971-89 911's, and in the engine mount locations only for pre-1971 911's. Motorsport Product.

Porsche Engine Mounts
Enhance your Porsche’s driving experience with the right engine mounts. At Design911, we supply standard replacement and performance-focused engine mounts for Porsche models, helping you balance refinement, control and durability for road, fast-road or motorsport use.
Why do Porsche Engine Mounts matter?
Engine mounts support and locate the engine in your Porsche while isolating vibration from the cabin. As they age, the rubber or other materials can soften, split or sag, allowing more movement than intended. This can lead to increased vibration, driveline clunks and a less precise, less refined feel from the car. Choosing suitable replacement or performance mounts helps keep the drivetrain controlled and the car feeling tight and well looked after.
- Maintain correct engine position and support within the chassis
- Help control vibration and harshness transmitted into the cabin
- Reduce unwanted engine rock that can stress exhausts, hoses and joints
- Allow you to tune the balance between comfort and a more direct, connected feel
Common options & kits
Individual replacement mounts
Specific engine mounts supplied individually so you can address a particular failed or tired mount without changing the entire set.
- Useful when only one mount is clearly worn or damaged
- Lets you focus on problem areas first
- Can be combined with existing good mounts to spread work over time
Matched pairs or axle sets
Mounts supplied as pairs or sets intended to be replaced together, so left and right (or multiple) mounts are renewed at the same time.
- Helps keep engine support and movement consistent side to side
- Reduces the risk of one old mount accelerating wear in a new mount
- A sensible approach when original mounts are of similar age
Performance and motorsport mounts
Uprated mounts designed to limit drivetrain movement more than standard parts, often using stiffer materials such as polyurethane or metal components.
- Intended to reduce drivetrain wind-up and slack for a more direct feel
- Can support fast-road or motorsport-focused Porsche builds
- Typically increase noise and vibration compared with OE-style mounts, so choice should reflect how the car is used
Brands available in this category
For this category we stock a wide choice of trusted brands for Porsche models. You can also browse and filter by brand on this page to focus on your preferred manufacturers.
- 9products – Precision-engineered Porsche performance parts including engine and transmission mounts, often aimed at club motorsport and track-day builds, using high-grade aluminium and motorsport hardware.
- Demon Speed – Track-focused components for aggressive setups where owners want a more focused feel; suitable parts may increase noise and vibration so are best matched to performance-orientated cars.
- Function First Performance – Known for drivetrain and shift-feel components, including engine mounts that target a tighter, more consistent response under load with careful attention to driver connection.
- OE Match – OE-equivalent replacement parts aimed at maintaining original specification and reliability with sensible running costs, ideal where you want standard Porsche refinement.
- Powerflex – Polyurethane solutions for related chassis and mounting areas, chosen when owners want more consistent geometry and control than ageing rubber, with compounds to suit road or track bias.
When should you review or replace your Porsche engine mounts?
Checking Porsche engine mounts periodically helps you catch age- or use-related deterioration before it affects refinement or starts to stress other components. Mounts work hard under acceleration, braking and gear changes, so wear is common on older or heavily used cars.
- You notice excess vibration at idle, especially compared with how the car previously felt
- There are clunks or thumps on take-up of drive or during gear changes
- The exhaust or other components can be felt or heard knocking under load
- Visual inspection shows sagging, perished or split rubber in one or more mounts
- You are carrying out engine-out work, restoration or performance upgrades and want a fresh baseline
If any of these apply, it is a good time to review your engine mounts and replace anything that is past its best so your Porsche stays dependable and enjoyable to drive.
