The OE Match Cylinder Heat Shield Kit for Porsche 996 3.6L (2002 onwards) provides a complete solution for replacing worn or corroded ignition heat shields, ensuring proper protection of coil packs and surrounding engine components.
This kit includes two OE Match 99610444502 heat shields, designed to fit both left and right cylinder banks. These shields are mounted over the ignition coil packs and act as a barrier against radiant engine heat, helping maintain stable ignition performance and preventing premature failure of sensitive components.
To ensure correct installation, the kit also includes four genuine Porsche hexagon-head bolts (90037816301, M6 x 16). These bolts provide secure mounting and proper clamping force, essential in high-temperature engine environments.
Heat shields in this area are exposed to extreme heat cycles and moisture, often leading to corrosion or deterioration over time. Replacing them as a pair, along with fresh hardware, ensures consistent protection across both cylinder banks and avoids issues caused by weakened or seized fasteners.
