A Quick Look at OE Match
OE Match information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where OE Match is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Often chosen when owners want OE-equivalent quality with sensible running costs, especially for routine service and wear items.
- Typical reasons to replace include restoring reliability, addressing age-related wear, or refreshing multiple components during larger repair work.
- Common defects from incorrect application include noise, premature wear, leaks, or fitment quirks if the wrong variant is selected or fitted with old seals/hardware.
- Watch for symptoms such as unusual noises, early wear, or repeat failures after recent work, which can indicate mismatched parts or supporting items left worn.
- Always cross-check OEM part numbers, read model-year notes, and verify compatibility before ordering.
- For safety-critical components, confirm specification and fitment carefully and have installation checked by a competent technician.
Browse by Category
If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Brakes — Brake components are renewed to restore stopping performance, address wear or upgrade a Porsche for fast road or track use. Common symptoms include vibration under braking, longer stopping distances, squealing, pulling to one side, warning lights and visible wear to discs and pads.
Brake Pad Wear Sensors — Brake pad wear sensors are replaced when pads are renewed or when warning lights indicate a broken or worn sensor. Symptoms include brake wear warnings even with new pads, damaged sensor cables, or broken clips around the caliper area.
Engine Electrical — Engine electrical parts are changed when there are starting, charging, ignition, or sensor-related faults that affect drivability and reliability, such as intermittent no-start, misfires, rough idle, poor charging, warning lights or heat-soak failures.
Service Parts — Service parts are replaced as routine maintenance to keep the engine and systems reliable, efficient, and protected, often resolving hard starting, rough idle, poor fuel economy and warning lights caused by clogged filters or worn ignition components.
Service Kits — Service kits bundle key service components to simplify maintenance and set the car back to a known baseline, especially useful when catching up on overdue servicing or dealing with general sluggish running, inconsistent idle and reduced performance.
- For brake parts, confirm whether items are OE-equivalent replacements or performance upgrades and check if new fitting kits and sensors are required.
- On service items and kits, match the kit to your exact Porsche model, engine and year, and review what is included so you can add any extra “while you are there” parts.

This impeller blade fan centre support is a high-quality replacement centre hub support for the engine cooling fan (alternator/generator impeller) on early Porsche 911 models.
Fit:
Porsche 911/912 (1965-1969) (911 up Through 68)
Porsche 911T/E/S Carrera RS (1970 - 1973)
Porsche 911/911S / Carrera (1974 - 1977)
The fan centre support forms the core mounting structure for the cooling fan (impeller) that attaches to the alternator / generator shaft. It ensures the cooling fan is securely aligned and balanced, allowing it to draw air through the engine compartment and over the engine’s cylinder heads and oil cooler - helping regulate operating temperatures and prevent overheating.
On classic air-cooled 911 engines, the cooling fan is critical to drawing fresh air through the engine bay and sustaining proper temperatures. The centre support (hub) is the backbone of the fan assembly - if it’s worn, corroded, or damaged:
• The fan can wobble or run out of balance
• Bearing loads on the alternator/generator can increase
• Cooling airflow can diminish
• Noise and vibration can increase.
Replacing an old or deteriorated centre support with an OE Match unit restores precise fan alignment, improves cooling efficiency, and helps protect surrounding engine components from heat-related wear.
When to replace. Replace the fan centre support if you notice any of the following:
• Excessive fan wobble or vibration
• Noisy operation from the fan or alternator area
• Visible corrosion or wear on the old hub
• During overhaul of the fan, generator/alternator, or cooling system

This is Indicator lens for your existing rear indicator unit. Normally the lens is not interchangeable but the clever guys in developments have come up with a solution.
Tip:
a customer has discovered an easy way to get the old glass off, if you put the Light into an ordinary oven at a 100 degrees for 7-8 minutes the glass will come loose or use heat from a soldering iron to un-weld the lens off the unit, and the same to weld the new lens on again, please make sure you have a perfect seal around the edge.
The rear indicator lens forms part of the rear light unit and allows the turn signal light to be clearly visible from the rear of the vehicle. It also helps protect the lamp housing and bulb area from dirt, moisture, and road debris while maintaining the correct Porsche 964 rear lighting appearance.
Functions
• Replaces the indicator lens in the rear light unit
• Provides correct rear turn signal visibility
• Helps protect the rear lamp housing and bulb area
• Restores the original-style rear lighting appearance
• Replaces cracked, faded, cloudy, broken, or missing lenses
• Available for left and right rear side positions
• OE Match replacement for Porsche 964 lighting restoration.
Why Replace This Part?
Rear indicator lenses can become cracked, faded, cloudy, scratched, brittle, or broken due to age, UV exposure, weathering, impact damage, and previous repairs. A damaged lens can reduce indicator visibility, allow moisture into the rear light unit, or make the car look incomplete. Replacing the lens helps restore correct rear lighting function and exterior appearance.
When to Replace This Part
• The rear indicator lens is cracked, faded, cloudy, or broken
• The lens is missing or no longer fits securely
• Moisture or dirt is entering the rear light unit
• The rear indicator appears dull or incorrect
• The rear light unit has been removed or serviced
• Rear bodywork or lighting restoration is being carried out
• The vehicle is undergoing Porsche 964 restoration.
Where it fits on the car
These lenses fit on the rear light unit indicator section on Porsche 964 models. One lens is used for the left rear light unit and the other for the right rear light unit, depending on the part selected.
